La Càtedra Josep Anton Baixeras de Patrimoni Literari Català, el Grup de Recerca Identitats en la Literatura Catalana (GRILC) i l'Arxiu de Folklore del Departament de Filologia Catalana us conviden a la conferència: "«Once Upon a Time» and «Happily Ever After»: Were These Words Ever Really Used By Traditional Narrators?" que pronunciarà el professor Jonathan Roper de la Universitat de Tartu (Estònia).
Once Upon a Time" and "Happily Ever After" are phrases with an international and transgeneric fame. But were they ever used in the context they purport to be from - the openings and closings of fairytales? This talk examines the records of nineteenth century English folk narration to help answer this question.
